Klavair is designed to turn a mobile phone into a keyboard for a target computer, without a user account and without a Klavair server for typed text.

Data controller

The data controller for data related to Klavair is La Vie V2 SAS, a company being incorporated. For any request concerning your personal data, use contact@klavair.com.

Klavair mobile app

The Klavair app does not create a user account, does not include advertising, does not use audience analytics, and does not send typed texts to a Klavair server.

Texts you type, dictate, paste or save for reuse remain stored locally on your device, unless you explicitly choose otherwise.

Data sent to the target keyboard

When you use Klavair to send text, the app turns that text into keystrokes and sends it to the Klavair dongle connected over Bluetooth Low Energy, or to InputStick if you selected that compatible output mode.

This transfer is used only to provide the requested function: entering the text on the target computer. Klavair does not store that text on a server and does not sell it to third parties.

Data stored locally

The app may store locally:

This data is stored in the app's local storage area. Depending on your Android settings, some local preferences may also be included in the Android system backup.

Legal basis, recipients and retention

The processing described here is used to provide the functions requested by the user: editing, local storage of reusable texts, dongle connection, keyboard profile selection, support and firmware installation.

Working texts are not sent to a Klavair server. Local data remains on your device until deletion in the app, app data clearing or app uninstall. If you contact support by email, your message is kept for the time needed to handle the request and related exchanges.

In-app purchases, when available, will be processed by the App Store or Google Play under the rules of the relevant store. Klavair does not receive your payment card details.

Voluntary sharing and export

Klavair may open your email client if you contact support, or use Android/iOS sharing if you export a library. In these cases, you explicitly choose the destination app and the data is then processed under the rules of that app or service.

Permissions

Klavair uses the Bluetooth permissions required to detect and connect a compatible dongle. On older Android versions, a location permission may be requested by the system to allow Bluetooth discovery, but Klavair does not collect your location.

klavair.com and the flashing portal

klavair.com provides product information and a firmware flashing portal for compatible dongles. The portal may communicate with a USB device that you choose through compatible browser APIs, such as Web Serial. Klavair does not read your personal files for this operation.

The public website does not use advertising, user accounts, newsletters or Klavair audience analytics. The flashing portal may remember the language selected locally in the browser to improve display on future visits.

Deleting data

You can delete saved texts in the app. You can also clear all local Klavair data from the Android/iOS app settings, or by uninstalling the app.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification or deletion of personal data concerning you, as well as objection or restriction of processing where these rights apply. You can exercise these rights at contact@klavair.com.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
